Greetings, Dragonfolk
I have been fascinated by dragons - 'obsessed' is more accurate - for over twenty years. In the course of my research I found that dragons were prominent in the artifacts and legends of many ancient civilizations. These cultures were separated, not only by thousands
of years, but thousands of miles as well, making it unlikely that the winged reptiles of old were mere legends passed on by word of mouth.
My research has gone from folklore and 'fairy tales' to history, archaeology, paleontology, and back to literature. As a result my theory is that, from the end of the Mesozoic Era on through the eighteenth century, the winged beauties known as dragons were alive and thriving throughout Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, and Asia.
This belief has contributed to the already widely-held notion that I'm 'different,' a euphemism for
'eccentric,' 'nutty' and 'wacko.' It cheers me to reflect that people held the same opinion of Galileo, Newton and Einstein. But as the saying goes, 'It's my story, and I'm sticking to it.'
